Part of my Eastward to Wyoming series. I painted this series of works during my time at the Jentel Artist Residency in the Lower Piney Creek Valley of the majestic Bighorn Mountains in eastern Wyoming. They were inspired by the rhythm of the passing landscape and sky during a summer journey from Oregon via the Columbia Gorge then crossing into eastern Washington, a little bit of Idaho, the vastness that is Montana and finally the big open sky across the width of Wyoming to my destination in the Lower Piney Creek Valley of the Bighorn Mountains in eastern Wyoming.
